Pakistan batting at only 70 per cent, coach admits after Sri Lanka rout

Key points

  • Pakistan's batting coach Mike Smith has admitted the team's batting is working at only about 70 per cent of its potential after the hosts were bowled out for 110 by Sri Lanka in Lahore.
  • Sri Lanka won the tri-series match by eight wickets, chasing the small target in just 18.1 overs, with Kamindu Mendis scoring an unbeaten 62.
  • Smith said the collapse came from soft dismissals and good bowling, and insisted it would not affect Saturday's final between the same two teams, for which Pakistan had already qualified.
