'I Play Rocky' submitted as a comedy for the Golden Globes

'I Play Rocky' submitted as a comedy for the Golden Globes

Key points

  • Amazon MGM has submitted Peter Farrelly's film 'I Play Rocky' for Golden Globes consideration in the musical or comedy categories, rather than drama.
  • The film follows Sylvester Stallone, played by Anthony Ippolito, as he fights to write and star in the original 'Rocky'.
  • The choice surprised many awards watchers, because the film was widely expected to compete as a drama.

If the comedy placement is accepted, it will change which films and actors Ippolito competes against in the Globes races.
