  • Turquoise Velocity broke through for a deserved win in Sunday's Class Two Kwangtung Handicap Cup over 1,200 metres at Happy Valley, giving trainer Francis Lui and jockey Karis Teetan a double on the card.
  • The $3.1 favourite tracked the pacesetter Rising Force, seized the lead early in the straight and kept on strongly to beat the fast-finishing Romantic Son by a length and a quarter.
  • It was the five-year-old's first win after three straight placings, taking his record to five wins from 13 starts, and his rating is set to rise into the 90s, with the Class Two Panasonic Cup at Sha Tin on 14 November a possible next start.
