Tesla offers up to a year of free FSD through new referral program

Tesla offers up to a year of free FSD through new referral program

Key points

  • Tesla has launched its first Full Self-Driving referral program in the United States, letting existing owners share a link that gives another Tesla owner a one-month trial of FSD (Supervised).
  • If that person starts a paid subscription during the trial, the referrer earns a free month of FSD if they subscribe themselves, or a 99-dollar Tesla credit if they bought the software outright.
  • Rewards are capped at 12 per calendar year, so a successful referrer could earn up to a year of free FSD or 1,188 dollars in credits.

Credits cannot be cashed out and expire 12 months after they are granted, but can be used for Supercharging, shop orders, upgrades or a new vehicle.
