Elon Musk has warned that most of the more than 200 so-called neocloud companies, which rent out computing power for artificial intelligence, could fail or be absorbed by others, as debt markets have largely stopped lending to firms without revenue outside AI data centres. He said SpaceX had raised 40 billion dollars in debt to buy graphics chips, helped by its investment-grade status and revenue from Starlink and rocket launches.
