FBI raids Beverly Hills mansion in Swalwell investigation

Key points

  • Federal agents searched a Beverly Hills mansion early on Tuesday, October 27, in connection with an investigation into former California congressman Eric Swalwell, according to reports.
  • The home is believed to belong to billionaire Stephen Cloobeck, a former Swalwell supporter.
  • The FBI confirmed only that it conducted an operation in the Los Angeles region linked to an ongoing criminal investigation, and court documents are reported to be sealed, with no arrests planned.

Agents had earlier seized his electronic devices in August.
