  • Ghanaian champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have qualified for the 2026 CAF Women's Champions League after beating Nigeria's Edo Queens 3-2 after extra time in the WAFU Zone B qualifying final in Cairo on Thursday.
  • The final was an unusual resumed contest: the two sides had drawn 2-2 in Ouagadougou on September 5, when Edo Queens won 4-1 on penalties, but Ampem Darkoa protested that extra time had been skipped, and the Confederation of African Football annulled the shootout and ordered the final to restart from extra time at 2-2.
  • Mohammed Afishata scored the winner two minutes into extra time from a corner.
