The company said the region answers strong demand from European businesses building and scaling artificial intelligence services, giving them local infrastructure, lower latency and data residency inside Europe. The region offers computing, storage, container, networking, big data, security and database services, and Alibaba Cloud plans to bring a suite of agentic AI services to Europe as well. The launch was announced at the company's first International Apsara Conference in Amsterdam. Alibaba Cloud's chief technology officer Dr Feifei Li said the Netherlands is one of Europe's most vibrant digital economies.
